Episode 20: Rebirth ~I'm Here~
The Nature Dimension was one of the most unpredictable places in the entire Multiverse. It was trustworthy and deceptive at the same time. It was one of the safest places to visit, featuring thousands of very dangerous plants and animals. What felt like hours in the Nature Dimension were only seconds outside. On one side of the Nature Dimension, though, lied a bed of red flowers. This area of the Nature Dimension was different from the others, because it was snowing. It was only snowing on this side, where the bed of red flowers were. A girl in white robes was lying down in the snow. She had light brown hair and black eyes. Someone else approached. She had short, blonde hair, and a beautiful face. She was the very first void ninja, whose name was never spoken, but it was written as "空" or "そら". The very first void ninja went up to the girl who was in the snow.
"Wake up," she said.
The girl then woke up.
"Where am I?" She asked. "Who are you?"
"I'm the very first Void Ninja, but nobody speaks my name," the very first void ninja said. "I found you trapped inside a Soul Stone...what's your name, by the way?"
"I'm Iroyas," the girl said. "the Ice Ninja of Hope."
Meanwhile, Kuroninja had returned from his date, and now he was ready to get back to trying to defeat Lord Nemesis. However, Kuroninja Gold had disappeared, and Kuroninja had no idea where he was.
As for the ninja students, Shinnosuke Nakamura still hadn't returned, and Antonio Vega had unlocked the ultimate power of fire. He had also fought a long battle with his biggest admirer/stalker, Haruna Nakamura, so he had to rest. The ninja students who did make it to the dojo included Yuri, Natsuki, Kai Hirose, and Satomi Sato. However, before everyone started, Sayori appeared at the last minute.
Yuri wanted to know more about Satomi, as she was interested in finding out more about the Kuroninja Multiverse, and since Satomi spent her life as a guardian of a Nature Dimension sanctuary, Yuri decided to talk to her. However, Satomi was more interested in Kai Hirose, who was training in the dark corner of the room, practicing with his trident. She was also holding some soft-serve ice cream cones, because that was what her moral choices were based on. Yuri came up to Satomi.
"Hey there," Yuri said. "You're Satomi, right?"
"Yeah," Satomi said. Satomi then pointed at Hirose, who was training.
"That guy over there," Satomi said, "he seems very quiet. I haven't seen him with the others, he just swings his trident at the wooden dummy over there."
"Just ignore that guy," Yuri said.
"But why?" Satomi said. "The fact that he just stands there makes him so interesting...what secrets could he be hiding? And out of all the weapons, why a trident?"
"I still don't think Hirose's worth your time, Satomi," Yuri said. "Besides, there's probably a good reason why he's quiet."
"I've spent time with very dangerous wildlife before," Satomi said, "and besides, it doesn't matter how many things you stole or how many people you killed. There's only one thing that matters."
Satomi then went up to Kai Hirose, who was still training. She then offered him a soft-serve ice cream.
Hirose then took the soft-serve ice cream, ate some of it, and then went back to training.
"See?" Satomi said. "He is trustworthy!"
"I don't get it," Yuri said, "but...whatever. Do your thing."
In the secret base of the Nemesis Clan, on Earth-4, Haruna Nakamura was resting. She had been tired from the fight against Antonio Vega, and even though it was clear that Antonio Vega didn't like her, she still had feelings for Antonio Vega. Yajin Niroku was also nearby, upset that he was still being imprisoned.
"This is so boring," Yajin Niroku sighed. "I wish I could just get out of here so I can create chaos again."
Suddenly, a shadow portal opened. Out came Ikustan.
"Ikustan!" Yajin Niroku said. "Long time no see."
"So," Ikustan said, "you needed my service. About time, since me and the others in the DDC had nothing to do."
"Hey!" Haruna said. "I can see you, you know."
"Wait!" Ikustan said. "I can give you some valuable information too, if you don't tell Lord Nemesis that I was here."
"Ok, what is it?" Haruna asked.
"I can tell you where to find the Deathfish," Ikustan said. "It's a giant fish from the Shadow Dimension, which occasionally crosses over to this world, terrorizing the seas from time to time."
"The Deathfish, huh? This information will be very useful," Haruna said. "You're free to go."
Ikustan then freed Yajin Niroku. The first two major villains in this season besides Lord Nemesis were now back in action. Haruna then went back to rest, as the two left.
"Ok," Ikustan said. "So...now that you're back, what should we do?"
"Lord Nemesis was talking about crossings to the Nature Dimension," Yajin Niroku said. "I'm going to get my revenge on Lord Nemesis by destroying those crossings, and anything that's around them!"
"This is going to be fun," Ikustan said, as she grabbed a barbecue skewer.
Meanwhile, Kuroninja was trying to search for Kuroninja Gold, who was missing. Flower Ninja Ayame was also with Kuroninja. Suddenly, Flower Ninja Ran appeared. She had been spying on Anti-Kuroninja in case he ever decided to do something, but while that was happening, she noticed Yajin Niroku and Ikustan destroying portals to the Nature Dimension. However, the way they were doing that caused a lot of damage to anything nearby. Yajin Niroku was basically destroying anything that moved. Kuroninja had to put a stop to this.
Kuroninja then rushed to where Yajin Niroku and Ikustan were, and then confronted them. Ikustan was in the middle of cooking some barbecue skewers when he arrived.
"Stop attacking everyone," Kuroninja said, "and I'll let you go."
"Never!" Yajin Niroku said. "Do you realize how boring it was when I was captured by the Nemesis Clan? Now that I'm free, I can attack everything as much as I want."
Yajin Niroku then released waves of Shadow Energy, destroying buildings. Yajin Niroku then started attacking Kuroninja, beating him up. At the same time, blood-red mushrooms started growing on the ground, close to where the Nature Dimension portal was. The mushrooms then formed into a Vargloth, a creature in the Nature Dimension that was spawned through an intense feeling of violence. The Vargloth pushed Yajin Niroku and Ikustan out of the way and headed straight for Kuroninja. Kuroninja then engaged with the Vargloth, attacking it, while the Shadow Dimension duo escaped through a shadow portal. The Vargloth, however, didn't get damaged. Instead, the attacks only made it stronger. With a powered-up punch, the Vargloth sent Kuroninja flying straight into a wall.
Kuroninja couldn't just fight the Vargloth. Every attack only made it stronger. He decided to retreat.
Meanwhile, Kai Hirose was by the lake, which was near his house. His father was a ninja who taught him about water ninja techniques, and he also took him on fishing trips. Hirose started thinking about one of the trips, which was also the last fishing trip Hirose ever had. They were both finishing, when Hirose saw the large shadow of a giant fish.
"Hey, dad," Hirose said, "Look over here! I think I found something."
Kai Hirose's dad then went over to look at the giant fish. He then decided to show off to his son by catching it. However, this giant fish was actually a giant monster from another dimension. It jumped out of the lake, swallowed Kai's father, and then went back into the lake, leaving behind a cloud of black smoke.
It was this incident is where Kai Hirose decided to be as silent as possible, keeping his mouth shut to avoid putting others in danger.
While Hirose was thinking about this event, he saw a giant snake made of water, which appeared before him. This creature was a leviathan, a very large sea monster which only appeared to a few people. Hirose rubbed his eyes and the leviathan was gone.
At the same time, Kuroninja realized that he needed to fight the Vargloth, because it was terrorizing the city, and Kuroninja wasn't doing anything about it right now. However, every single attack caused by Kuroninja was making the Vargloth stronger. Kuroninja couldn't give up, though. He ran toward the city, searching for the Vargloth.
Kuroninja ran into the Vargloth, which was destroying buildings. The police were shooting at it, which only made the Vargloth stronger. It knocked over a police officer, who dropped a tear gas grenade by accident. The Vargloth absorbed the tear gas and became really big. Kuroninja could now see it. He then charged at the Vargloth and started hitting it multiple times. Even if it was making it stronger, Kuroninja still had the hope that eventually, the Vargloth would collapse from all the power it had absorbed.
Suddenly, a Nature Dimension crossing opened, and out came a ninja in white and light blue. She then landed on the Vargloth and kicked it in the face, knocking it out.
"Who are you?" Kuroninja asked.
"I'm the Ice Ninja of Hope..." the ninja said, as she took her mask off. Kuroninja knew exactly who it was.
"Iroyas!?" Kuroninja said. "But...I thought you were supposed to be dead!"
"I was," Iroyas said, "but now I have been reborn!"
Kuroninja was confused, but then he saw the Vargloth coming back with a swing of its right arm.
"Iroyas, look out!" Kuroninja said.
Iroyas then pulled out a rope dart, with an icicle instead of a blade, and a light grey rope. She attacked the Vargloth, but it was actually causing the Vargloth to weaken instead of get stronger. Iroyas then summoned a snowstorm, causing the Vargloth to freeze.
"How did you..." Kuroninja said.
"They're Vargloths," Iroyas said. "You need to cool them down before you attack them. I did that for you, and now you have to finish everything."
Kuroninja had no idea what was going on, but he decided to continue. Kuroninja picked up his sword, and in the snow, he slashed through the Vargloth. Due to the cold, the Vargloth couldn't absorb the attack, and it ended up turning into dirt.
"It's great to be alive again!" Iroyas said.
"What's going on?" Kuroninja was thinking.
As this was going on, the very first void ninja was watching. She had trained Iroyas to use her ice ninja techniques again, and was surprised to see her on Earth-1. The Nature Dimension must've sent her to Earth-1 for some reason.
Meanwhile, Satomi wanted to get to know Hirose a little more. That was when she saw him in the lake. Hirose wanted to find the leviathan that he saw, so he dove into the lake. Satomi then ran towards the lake, only to find that no one was there.
Hirose then woke up in a place covered with water. There didn't seem to be any sign of a surface or an end to all this water. It just kept going and going. Giant fish and small fish were everywhere, and in front of Hirose was a temple.
"Where am I?" Hirose said to himself.
"You are in the Water Dimension," a deep voice said. It was from the leviathan. "The Water Dimension has found you worthy of the Ultimate Power of Water."
