Power Rangers Ninja Steel Episode 1 Review

It looks like most of my theories on Ninja Steel were untrue. However, this is about the 1st episode, so I'm going to review the first episode of Power Rangers Ninja Steel...and its terrible first impression.

One example of a bad first impression is when they introduce "Galaxy Warriors." I think it was great that they used elements from ToQger, but does anyone find it strange that a Quester is fighting Hiramechimedes? Or does anyone find it strange that one of the Fearcats is fighting Venjix's first body? It looks like Power Rangers is becoming lazier. First they created unoriginal names for planets (Example: SENTAI 6), but now they're using costumes that some Power Rangers fans would recognise. Maybe use costumes from shows that weren't adapted, such as the Metalloids from Go-Busters.

Another bad first impression is that there's more one-sided characters. The red ranger in the series has a missing father. Now where have I seen that before? They are also copying ideas from the Sentai series they were based on. When Aoninger was introduced, he was studying magic in a magic school in England. The Blue Ranger wants to be a magician (the kind that pulls rabbits out of hats, not a wizard like Aoninger).

I don't really like the use of recycling major villain costumes and the use of one-sided characters, however, I don't want to be one-sided either. The plot is actually good. It involves an intergalactic game show where players compete to please the producer of the game, however it is not like the Dethgalien's Blood Game from Zyuohger. The real purpose of the game is because the producer wants to find a warrior who can free a ninja star from this giant ninja star. Basically, Galvanax, the producer, doesn't care about entertainment, unlike the Dethgaliens. Then there's some ninja steel on Earth, which was used to create the same ninja stars trapped in the prism. And we know what happens to the ninja steel later. Here's a hint: 5 certain people claim possession of it.

That's all for my review. Maybe if they think of a plot twist (such as Masakage Tsugumori's Power Rangers counterpart being the Red Ranger's father trapped in a robot suit), then the show would be better.

I have nothing to do with Shironinger.
