Kuroninja Gold Episode 28
Episode 28: Shadow Spires
About a week had passed since the Perfect Conqueror, Akuroninja, was defeated. He and Lady Akinom had both disappeared, hiding somewhere, Anti-Kuroninja had somehow gained a new form and some new powers, Kuroninja got a new powerup from the very first Void Ninja (who's also based on the only person with a 100% chance of defeating Kuroninja), and the very first Void Ninja's name was spoken in the Kuroninja Multiverse for the very first time. Also, Sayori had returned from the dead.
Kuroninja had placed the Sky Armour with his other powerups, in a giant room filled with artifacts from all over the Multiverse. Not only did these artifacts consist of alternate versions of weapons used by Sentai Rangers, Power Rangers, and Kamen Riders, but there were some other items too, such as the Dragon Orb, an enormous mountain of chocolates that Kuroninja received on Valentine's Day, a glowstick also known as the Blade of Kings, which allowed Kuroninja to channel the power of idols (Kuroninja got this one recently), and many other stuff.
Anyway, Kuroninja also ran a dojo, and the students of the dojo included Antonio Vega, Shinnosuke Nakamura, Haruna Nakamura (who isn't related to Shinnosuke), Kai Hirose, Sayori, Yuri, Natsuki, and Satomi Sato. Sayori was dating Antonio Vega, but Yuri, who secretly admired Vega, was jealous. She used Sayori's death at the hands of Akuroninja as an opportunity to be with Antonio Vega. Now that Sayori was back, Yuri was alone again.
At night, Yuri was in the bedroom of her house, with all the lights turned off. The moonlight from the windows reflected off of the towering bookshelves, as the rain was pouring. Yuri had finished organizing the stuff in her drawer as she lay down in her bed, looking back at the events from the last story arc of this series, which ended last episode. Envy began to flow through Yuri's thoughts, as she quietly muttered to herself...
"I wish Sayori disappeared again so I could be with Antonio Vega again."
Meanwhile, in the Shadōkyō Spire, in the Shadow Dimension, Ikustan and Riyu were the only ones there. Dark Iroyas, who had completely absorbed Iroyas, was outside the spire, standing guard. Ikustan then woke up, having sensed something. She opened a portal and left to confront the source.
Yuri then noticed a portal opening in front of her. She thought that it was the effects of sleep paralysis, but it wasn't, because Yuri could still move. She got up, but slowly, as her back would ache if she got up from her bed quickly. Yuri then saw a figure that took the form of Natsuki, only with black eyes instead of pink ones.
"Ikustan...what brings you here?" Yuri asked, as she slowly reached for her drawer, which had a lot of knives."
"Easy there, Darkprism Assassin," Ikustan said. "I'm only here to grant your wish." She then got out a barbecue skewer and started snacking on it."
"I'm still going to vanquish you," Yuri said. "Your eyes are as black as your soul."
"Really?" Ikustan said. "Is it just because I'm from the Shadow Dimension? My eyes are like this for a reason. You clearly haven't seen what I've seen."
Suddenly, Yuri was intrigued. She moved away from the drawer and the knives. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"It was a being very foreign to the Shadow Dimension," Ikustan said. "As soon as I laid my eyes on it...I was never the same. Me and Yajin Niroku call it...Zaraito."
"Z-zaraito?" Yuri said. She wanted to know more about Zaraito, the being that supposedly drove Ikustan into madness.
"I can tell you more about it," Ikustan said. "All you have to do is let me grant your wish. Besides, without me, you'll never get to be with that special one you keep thinking about."
"Ok," Yuri said. "I accept."
"Excellent!" Ikustan said, as she left through another portal.
Ikustan then returned to the Shadow Dimension, where Riyu was waiting.
"Hey Ikustan!" Riyu said, annoyed. "What the heck were you doing over there?"
"I was just doing my job," Ikustan said.
"Ok, well guess what?" Riyu said. "Akinom has been keeping me locked up in this place with nothing to do, no one to kill! And now that she's gone, I guess it's time for me to kill you, Ikustan!"
"WAIT!" Ikustan said. "The one I granted a wish from is your Prime Counterpart. If you keep me alive, I can give you more power!"
"How?" Riyu asked.
"Like this..." Ikustan said. Her eyes then flashed purple for a bit, as a switchblade began to materialize in Riyu's hands. Riyu recognized the switchblade instantly.
"Blade-san, you're back!" Riyu said. "Oh, how I've missed you."
"And that's not all," Ikustan said. She then used the rest of Yuri's wish power to send Riyu to Earth-1.
When Riyu arrived in Earth-1, several tall, black pillars with purple crystals floating above them began to rise from the ground in random places. The spires then began to surround a large structure shaped like a prison cell. Inside the cell was Sayori, who had been teleported inside the cell due to Yuri's wish. Riyu stood on top of the cell, ready to attack everyone.
Suddenly, Hikari Nakamura, Shinnosuke's older brother and the leader of SToR/M, appeared to confront Riyu. He transformed into Lightninger and took down Riyu with several slices from his sword. That was when the crystal floating above a nearby pillar started to glow brighter. It fired a beam at Riyu, which began to heal her. Riyu got back up as if nothing ever happened, and then charged at Lightninger, taking him down and forcing him to untransform. Hikari had no choice but to retreat.
The next day, Kai Hirose was fishing in the woods, when suddenly, there was a windstorm. Hirose was trying to fend off the strong, cold breeze, making sure it wouldn't push him into the water. When the wind cleared up, Hirose noticed a large cut on his arm, but it wasn't very painful. Hirose then stopped fishing and went to the Kuroninja Dojo, wondering if Kuroninja could help figure out what happened.
Hirose went to the dojo, but it was locked. Kuroninja had left, so he could investigate the black pillars with purple crystals floating above them. He noticed Riyu attacking random people with her switchblade, and he knew he had to stop them. Kuroninja went to face Riyu.
"Hey you!" Kuroninja said. "Stop attacking those people."
"You can't stop me..." Riyu said.
Kuroninja then noticed that Sayori was trapped in a cell that the pillars were surrounding. He then turned back to Riyu.
"Wait a minute..." Kuroninja said. "How did Sayori end up there?"
"I have no idea," Riyu said, "but that doesn't really matter to me! All that matters is that I have more power than before, and I can't wait to test it out on a new challenge!"
Riyu then charged at Kuroninja, so Kuroninja called forth his Sky Armour. Yozora no Kuroninja was ready.
Kuroninja then dashed towards Riyu and unleashed a flurry of blows on her, before she had the chance to attack. Riyu was then sent flying into a pillar, and collapsed. It looked like she wouldn't recover.
Suddenly, the purple floating crystals above the pillars began to fire purple beams of light at Riyu, causing her to heal. Kuroninja then noticed that the crystals were healing Riyu, but he couldn't reach them. Riyu then attacked Kuroninja with her switchblade, forcing Kuroninja to retreat.
Kuroninja then headed back to his dojo, where he found Kai Hirose standing there.
"Is something wrong?" Kuroninja asked Hirose.
"Yes..." Hirose said. He showed Kuroninja his arm, which had a cut in it. Hirose wasn't feeling any pain.
"How did you get this?" Kuroninja asked.
"Well," Hirose said, "I don't know, i-it just showed up after a strong wind..."
Kuroninja then realized what it was.
"What's going on?" Hirose said?
"Well," Kuroninja said, "I've heard of something like this. There's a Yōkai known as the Kamaitachi, which appears during strong winds and cuts people that it sees. The cuts are very sharp but don't bring pain."
"So...there are Yōkai in the forest?" Hirose asked.
"Yes, but it's very unusual," Kuroninja said. "I've fought Kamaitachi before, and they usually live in the mountains, not the forest."
"If it's not a kamaitachi, what else could it be?" Hirose wondered.
Kuroninja then went for a walk, while thinking of ways to defeat Riyu. He was on the bridge, looking at the black pillars with purple crystals floating above them. That was when he noticed Yuri, who was also on the bridge, looking down at Sayori, who was trapped in the cell.
"Hey Yuri," Kuroninja said, "what are you doing here?"
"Uhh......I don't know...." Yuri said.
Kuroninja then realized what was going on.
"You're thinking about Antonio Vega, aren't you?" Kuroninja asked.
"Ok, fine, I am," Yuri said.
"Why him?" Kuroninja asked. "He's too much of a showoff!"
"Yes," Yuri said, "but I can't stop thinking of that time during Christmas...and now he's with Sayori again!"
"You do realize there are others in the dojo, right?" Kuroninja asked.
"I don't really like Hirose," Yuri said, "and Shinnosuke Nakamura doesn't even notice me."
Kuroninja then realized what was going on. Yuri then started to leave.
"Where are you going?" Kuroninja asked Yuri.
"I caused this to happen," Yuri said, "and now I must stop it." She then transformed into the Darkprism Ranger.
The Darkprism Ranger appeared to face Riyu.
"It's you again," Riyu said. "You won't be able to stop me this time, Darkprism Assassin. Thanks to you, Ikustan helped me get all this power!"
"I'm still going to defeat you," Yuri said. She then charged at Riyu and took her down with several throwing knives, but then the purple crystals floating above the black pillars fired beams at Riyu, healing her again. Kuroninja then realized that he had to destroy the crystals. He got out his shurikens and threw them at one of the crystals from the bridge. As soon as the shuriken came into contact with the purple floating crystal, the crystal exploded. Kuroninja blew up the other crystals the same way, and now, Riyu didn't have any healing power. Yuri then kicked Riyu in the face, knocking her out. She untransformed and walked towards Riyu.
"What the-" Riyu said. "Why am I not getting healed?"
"It's the end of the line for you, my Shadow counterpart," Yuri said, as she slowly approached Riyu.
"I'm not finished yet!" Riyu exclaimed, as she got her switchblade and stabbed Yuri near the right shoulder.
However, that had no effect on Yuri. Yuri simply pulled Riyu's switchblade out of her shoulder and pointed it at Riyu.
"You should've gone for the head," Yuri said, as she stabbed Riyu in the chest with the switchblade. Riyu collapsed on the ground and died. Yuri then snapped her fingers, and the black pillars turned to dust and vanished from existence, along with Sayori's cell. Sayori then found herself in the street, wondering what the heck was going on, while Kuroninja decided to stop watching from the bridge and go back to whatever he was doing before.
Yuri then met up with Sayori.
"What are you doing here, Yuri?" Sayori asked.
"I came here to save you," Yuri said.
"You don't really seem ok," Sayori said. "Is anything the matter?"
"Yes..." Yuri said. "There's something I want to tell you...I caused all this to happen...Natsuki's evil lookalike from the Shadow Dimension tricked me into doing this, and I'm sorry...all this happened because I was jealous of you being with Antonio Vega!"
"Wait..." Sayori said. "You like Vega? But we're already dating..."
"Oh..." Yuri said.
"...I'm not done yet!" Sayori said. "How about this...I want you to be happy, so...let's both date Antonio Vega at the same time!"
"Is that even possible?" Yuri said.
"Yes, it is," Sayori said. "Kuroninja has 5 girlfriends!"
"Kuroninja has 5 girlfriends?" Yuri said, surprised. "How was he able to do that?"
"I think he has like some kind of charming ability..." Sayori said.
"Really?" Yuri said. "How come I can't sense anything?"
"Me neither," Sayori said. "I guess it doesn't work on either of us."
That night, a shadow portal opened where Riyu died. Ikustan came out of the portal and saw Riyu, who had died. That was when Ikustan noticed someone watching.
"Show yourself," Ikustan said.
The person watching then appeared. She wore a mask shaped like a deer skull, and a cloak with leaves on it. She was also carrying two sickles.
"Who are you?" Ikustan said.
"I'm the Kamaitachi," the person in the deer mask said, "and there's nothing I can't cut."
"You work for the Nemesis Clan, right?" Ikustan said. "Sorry, but I don't really get along with the Nemesis Clan."
"I'm actually a hired mercenary," the Kamaitachi said. "I came to you because there's something I need from you."
"What is it?" Ikustan asked.
"I wish I knew everything I need to know about Kuroninja and his students," the Kamaitachi said.
"Ok, fine," Ikustan said.
