Kuroninja Gold Episode 8

Episode 8: Null and Void, Part 2

Kuroninja and Natsuki had returned to the Kuroninja Dojo. However, this wasn’t the same Natsuki that everyone knew before. Natsuki still had pink hair, but there was a streak of light grey hair. However, everyone was still excited when Natsuki announced that she was baking a special treat for all the students to thank Kuroninja for bringing her back.

An hour later, everyone was waiting. Hirose was in the corner, making sure nobody could see him, holding his elemental trident. As for everyone else, they were waiting, as Natsuki brought out a tray of cupcakes. However, these weren’t actually cupcakes. They tasted a bit too savoury for cupcakes, and there was no icing. These were muffins.

Sayori didn’t really mind eating muffins, but others were a bit suspicious, such as Shinnosuke Nakamura, and Antonio Vega. They knew that something was wrong with Natsuki, and that she wasn’t the same as she used to be. Vega decided to investigate.

Meanwhile, somewhere on Earth-1, a portal from Earth-4 opened. Bronzar walked out, ready to attack. He thought that Kuroninja was dead because of what happened in Episode 5, which meant that he could focus on finding the Sword of Absolute Power. He began attacking buildings to try and attract the attention of Kuroninja Gold.

Yajin Niroku and Ikustan noticed Bronzar having a hard time trying to find the Sword of Absolute Power, so they decided to get involved for no reason. Bronzar noticed them. Remembering how they betrayed his master, he pulled out his bronze greatsword and pointed it at Yajin Niroku.
“You…” Bronzar said.
“Did you miss me?” Yajin Niroku said. “I’ve heard you needed help with the Sword of Absolute Power.”
“I’m not accepting help from a traitor!” Bronzar said.
“Are you sure?” Yajin Niroku said. “You seem desperate to get that Sword of Absolute Power. That’s why you’re attacking random buildings, right?”
“Ok, fine!” Bronzar said. “What is your plan?”
“Well,” Yajin Niroku said, “You can create a diversion, while we go after the Sword of Absolute Power. We know where it is.”
“I guess I have no choice,” Bronzar said.

As soon as Yajin Niroku and Ikustan left, Bronzar picked up his phone.
“Keep an eye on the Shadow Duo,” Bronzar said. “They headed to your location.”
Lord Nemesis already knew where the Sword of Absolute Power was, and there was a spy already in that location.

Kuroninja was in his secret room, where no one could find him. Kuroninja Gold was training when Kuroninja passed him.

“So, how was it?” Flower Ninja Ayame said. “Did you get your student back?”
“Yes,” Kuroninja said. “It wasn’t easy, but I was still able to defeat the Void Ninjas.”
“What’s wrong with the Void Ninjas?” Ayame said.
“Well, you see,” Kuroninja said, “Void Ninjas get their power from the Void, a dimension that represents neutrality. Although it’s strong against both light and dark, the Void Element has a side effect: it makes you more neutral the more you use it. If you can somehow resist the neutralization effect of the Void, you become a Void Ninja Master, but only a few are powerful enough to do this.
“Uhhh, guys?” Flower Ninja Sakura interrupted. “There’s someone attacking the city.”
“Who is it?” Kuroninja said.
“It’s some guy armoured in Bronze,” Sakura said.
“That sounds like Bronzar,” Kuroninja said. He then got his ninja gear and headed for the city.

Kuroninja then rushed past several students.

Bronzar’s communication device then started ringing. Bronzar answered it.
“Hello?” Bronzar said.
Bronzar was surprised from what happened.
“What!?” Bronzar said, shocked. “Kuroninja’s still alive? Alright, new plan…go after Kuroninja…and don’t let him see you.”

Meanwhile, Antonio Vega and Shinnosuke Nakamura were thinking of a plan to get Natsuki back to normal. Shinnosuke revealed to Vega that he invited Sayori to go with them. Antonio asked Shinnosuke why he would do such a thing, and Shinnosuke said that Sayori was the one who knew Natsuki the most. As soon as Sayori left to get her ninja stuff, Shinnosuke then asked Antonio Vega why he kept acting so tough all the time.

“Alright…” Vega said. “So…you want to know why I’m acting so tough? Well, here goes nothing…”

“It all started back in Mexico. I began working at Tio’s shop, and then I decided to become a wrestler.

I trained under El Sombrero de la Sombra, who was a very strict teacher, and he was also a ninja master. If any of the ninja students failed, he would beat them up with a cane. Those who passed, like me, would have one more test: You know how Kuroninja went through the 5 Ninja Trials? Well, they were nothing compared to Los Ejercicios Rigurosos.

After completing Los Ejercicios Rigurosos, I went back to Tio’s shop. But then, Tio was killed by a masked criminal with a machine gun.
It was at this point I knew that I had to continue my path as a wrestler. And so I did. And that’s why I act so tough all the time.”

“I had no idea you had such a tragic backstory,” Shinnosuke Nakamura said.
“Well,” Antonio Vega said, “There are probably a lot more people like me who have one.”

Sayori then returned with her rope dart, and now they were ready to find Natsuki.

Meanwhile, Kuroninja was in the city, and he noticed some of Lord Nemesis’ soldiers in a place underneath an elevated road. Kuroninja charged at the Nemesis soldiers, striking them down, when suddenly, after defeating the last one, he almost got hit by an arrow with a pink arrowhead. Kuroninja dodged just in time, but then the arrow changed direction, headed straight for Kuroninja. Kuroninja was cornered in a column, but then the arrow changed direction again and hit the floor instead. Kuroninja was surprised when this happened.

Suddenly, Bronzar attacked Kuroninja from behind with his greatsword. More arrows appeared and surrounded Kuroninja, only this time, they were hovering in midair, pointed towards him, instead of moving.

“Call off your arrows, Agent 12! I’ve got him from here.”
“Ok, Sir,” a distorted voice said from Bronzar’s phone. The arrows then all dropped onto the floor.
“Who was that?” Kuroninja said.
“Oh, you shouldn’t worry about who that was…” Bronzar said, as he lifted his sword up again. “Instead, you should worry about our fight!”
Bronzar swung at Kuroninja with his sword.

Meanwhile, Antonio Vega, Shinnosuke Nakamura, and Sayori ran into Yajin Niroku and Ikustan.

“Y-you again!” Antonio Vega said.
“Look guys, we’re not looking for you,” Yajin Niroku said. “Get lost while we look for something else.”
“Wait,” Ikustan said to Yajin Niroku. “I haven’t broken anyone’s neck in a long time!”
“Fine,” Yajin Niroku said. He and Ikustan then entered a fighting position, but then, Natsuki appeared out of nowhere.

“You again!” Ikustan said.
“I have some unfinished business,” Natsuki said. “Now prepare to be consumed by the Void!”

Yajin Niroku was about to attack Natsuki from behind, but then Vega grabbed Yajin Niroku’s arm and slammed him down.

“You’ll pay for this,” Yajin Niroku said, as he tried to attack Antonio Vega. Vega was trying to defend himself from all of Yajin Niroku’s attacks, but all he had were his fists. Shinnosuke decided to help, so he got out his sais.

Meanwhile, Ikustan and Natsuki were facing each other. Natsuki had already transformed into Voidninger, and the fight between her and Ikustan was surprisingly one-sided, in favour of Voidninger.

Yajin Niroku grabbed hold of both Vega and Shinnosuke by summoning black tendrils from the shadow dimension. They were both restrained, but then Yajin Niroku got hit by a rope dart from out of nowhere. Sayori then appeared and attacked Yajin Niroku from a distance, causing him to lose his focus. The shadowy tendrils turned into smoke and disappeared, and Vega and Shinnosuke had the upper hand this time. They began ganging up on Yajin Niroku.

On the streets, Kuroninja was fighting Bronzar. He dodged one of the sword attacks, and then kicked Bronzar in the chin. Kuroninja then got out his sword and sliced through Bronzar’s torso, creating a large cut in the bronze armor. Bronzar then realized that he had to retreat, so he did. Kuroninja then left to return to his dojo.

Meanwhile, Yajin Niroku had defeated Vega, Sayori, and Shinnosuke, and now he was covering them in large clouds of dark matter, planning on choking them to death. At the same time, Voidninger was repeatedly punching Ikustan. And now it was time for the finisher…

Voidninger rose up into the air and summoned a pitch black sphere of pure void energy. The sphere grew, and then Voidninger sent it toward Ikustan. Ikustan was about to be consumed by the Void.

Yajin Niroku then saw Ikustan about to get consumed by the Void, and he released his grip on the others and charged at the void sphere. Jumping in front of Ikustan, he shielded her from the blast, and the result was a big explosion.

When the debris cleared up, Yajin Niroku was badly hurt, and he was covering Ikustan. Natsuki then noticed this was realized what was going on. She then collapsed to the ground. Yajin Niroku and Ikustan created a portal and left. Sayori went to take Natsuki to the hospital, while Antonio Vega decided to help.

Many hours later, Kuroninja and Anti-Kuroninja raced to the hospital to check on Natsuki. Fortunately, she had successfully woken up. And this time, she had successfully prevented her soul from being consumed by the Void. Kuroninja had no idea how Natsuki’s soul came back, but he knew what he had to do: He was going to set up a party to celebrate Natsuki’s soul coming back.

Anti-Kuroninja then left, trying to think of a plan to get noticed by Kuroninja as his archenemy again.

Meanwhile, Bronzar returned to Earth-4 with the large cut in his armor. Lord Nemesis asked what happened.
“It wasn’t my fault, Lord Nemesis!” Bronzar pleaded. “It was Yajin Niroku again!”
Lord Nemesis then sent Bronzar away.
“So…” Lord Nemesis said. “Those shadow guys wish to get in the way of my business? Well, I’ll show them what happens when you mess with the Nemesis Clan!”

Lord Nemesis then picked up his phone.
“Hello?” A distorted voice on the phone asked.
“Is this the Peace Officer?” Lord Nemesis said. “I have another job for you. We’re going to the Shadow Dimension.”
