Kyuranger Episode 23 Review
A new major villain, a Tsuyoindaver Monster of the week, and a Deathworm? This episode has EVERYTHING!
Hey guys, it is I, Kuroninja! Today I'm going to review the 23rd episode of Kyuranger! It's very interesting and it also develops the character of Houou Soldier, while also developing the ship between WashiPink and KajikiYellow. There's also this fanfiction I've been enjoying reading, because of the fact that its author doesn't ship ChameleonGreen and SasoriOrange. We need more fanfic writers like that! Basically, it takes place in an alternate universe where a female version of Hakucho White assists Houou Soldier. Oh, and by the way, that universe's Hakucho White has nothing to do with the Hakucho White who used to appear in my fanfics. He was killed by Cyber Kuroninja months ago, which is why we haven't seen him on this blog for a long time.
Enough talking about fanfiction, I'm supposed to be reviewing the episode. This episode focuses on the rivalry between ShishiRed, and Houou Soldier. A lot of people are agreeing that ShishiRed is a better red ranger than Houou Soldier, and I'm starting to agree, despite the fact that I hate all red rangers equally. ShishiRed has used teamwork to fight off very powerful enemies, such as Scorpio, that squid guy, and that guy who died in Episode 5. However, this is when one of the Vice Shoguns, Tecchu, appears, and we see how arrogant Houou Soldier is. Oh, and by the way, the reason why ShishiRed disagrees with Houou Soldier is because Houou Soldier's companions were used as shields. It wasn't just the warrior from this constellation who used himself as a shield. The other Warriors who fought among Houou Soldier gave their life to protect him, and then Houou Soldier sacrificed his immortality to defeat Don Armage. We still don't know why Don Armage is still alive, though.
Now for the monster of the week. Just like I said in the intro, it's another Tsuyoindaver monster. We haven't had one since many episodes ago. However, it seems like he's the most interesting. He works as a vain celebrity in the Jark Matter broadcasting studios, and he always makes references to movies. Based on this, he seems to be the weakest in the series. Oh, and there's another monster of the week. I don't know how Jark Matter is able to get all of these, but Tecchu sends a Metal Deathworm to attack the Kyurangers because of how weak Mediatsuyoindaver is.
Before I close this post with my usual outro, there's this guy who also wrote reviews of Kyuranger on his super sentai blog, and this is his review of episode 23. For some reason, he thinks that Mediatsuyoindaver has something to do with the monster of the week from last episode! For some reason, he claims that Jark Matter is brainwashing people, but all we see is an Indaver announcing Jark Matter news, until Houou Soldier shows up and defeats him. Oh, and by the way, he also got Mediatsuyoindaver's rank wrong.
Anyway, that is all, and I have nothing to do with Shironinger!
