Kuroninja X Chapter 17

Chapter 17: The Gauntlet Goes Viral

A portal opened in the Gauntlet. Agemo, one of the Interdimensional Guardians and the one in charge of the Gauntlet, was so happy to see Kuroninja. The reason why was because there was going to be a big attack on the Gauntlet, causing an unbalance in the Multiverse. The other Interdimensional Guardians were guarding their universes. Jerek was adding more defence to the walls in Paradise, Nodroz was adding more guards to Utopia, and Schedjel Horologius, the leader of the Interdimensional Guardians, was shutting down the Clockwork Dimension, adding many Clockwork Samurai to guard every area.

Anyway, a red portal opened, but this time, it looked different. Unlike the smooth portal, this portal caused cracks to appear in the fabric of space-time. It was a forced portal, coming from a being of uncontrollable evil. Kuroninja approached the portal and saw what looked like himself, except with one giant claw, evil orange eyes, and spiky armour. This Kuroninja began to speak. “FINALLY,” he said. “I AM NOW FREE...EVERYTHING SHALL NOW BE ELIMINATED!”

Kuroninja got out the Profiler Shuriken and threw it at his evil lookalike. The Profiler Shuriken successfully scanned the other Kuroninja, but then the other Kuroninja suddenly said “I KNOW WHO YOU ARE. YOU MUST BE ME FROM EARTH-1. EXCELLENT. IT WILL BE COOL WHEN I ELIMINATE ANOTHER ME!” Kuroninja was confused. He got out his ninja sword and tried to attack this guy, but then a blast of power came from the evil Kuroninja. Kuroninja got knocked out. The evil Kuroninja was about to perform his finishing move on Kuroninja, but then he got trapped by a light grey energy field, surrounded by gears. Horologius had arrived.

Agemo asked why Horologius saved him, even though he didn’t get involved. Horologius said that he only cared about order, and if the Gauntlet was destroyed, it would bring disorder to the entire Multiverse. Horologius sent the evil Kuroninja back to Wasteworld, where he originally was, but this guy would be back soon.

Meanwhile, Kuroninja was reading what the Profiler Shuriken got. The evil Kuroninja was actually from Earth-5. He used to be a hacker who created the KN-5 virus, which had the ability to copy the powers of anything. However, KN-5 got so powerful, that it fused with its creator. Because of how dangerous KN-5 was, one of the higher powers of Earth-0 banished KN-5 to the Wasteworld, and stripped him of his physical body so he wouldn’t hurt anyone. But then he absorbed the Snakeforce and got his physical form back. He also copied the power of the universe-travelling equipment that Kuroninja got from Earth-4. And he also copied the Profiler shuriken’s ability to analyze its targets.

Kuroninja asked Agemo if he had something that could stop the power of KN-5. Agemo said that maybe he should trick the virus into copying the power of something that made it weaker. Agemo then gave Kuroninja a smooth, pitch black stone known as a Void Stone. He then told Kuroninja to give it to someone he hated, and left. Kuroninja knew that he was talking about Anti-Kuroninja, who could make a weapon to stop KN-5.

Kuroninja went to Anti-Kuroninja and asked if he could make something with the Void Stone. Anti-Kuroninja gave Kuroninja a Cyber Adapter and left the room. Kuroninja thought that it was rude, but he took the Cyber Adapter anyway. Placing the void stone on the Cyber Adapter, Kuroninja noticed that it was turning black. Kuroninja tried wearing it, but it gave Kuroninja a lot of painful effects. Kuroninja realized that this could weaken KN-5, so he went back to The Gauntlet.

In the Gauntlet, KN-5 was destroying everything, but then Kuroninja returned with the Dark Cyber Adapter. KN-5 absorbed the Dark Cyber Adapter, But it made him weaker. Kuroninja then defeated KN-5, using his finisher on him. KN-5 returned to Wasteworld because he was too weak to continue fighting.

Agemo then thanked Kuroninja for all his hard work, and Kuroninja returned to Earth-1 with the Dark Cyber Adapter. He didn’t really need it anymore, so he sold it to a museum.
